B.A.G.O Students are expected to...
Be Safe
Students are expected to behave in such a way that ensures their own personal safety as well as the safety of others. Everyone keeps themselves free from harm while ensuring their actions keep others safe from harm. An example of “Be Safe” would be walking on the right-hand side of the hallway and keeping your hands to yourself.
Arrive On Time
Students should be in their classrooms ready to learn by 7:50 a.m. every school day. Arriving on time also means that students get from one place to another in the school in a timely manner. Students should arrive to every class throughout the day on time with their supplies ready and their minds ready to learn.
Give Respect, Get Respect
Respect is defined as “due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others.” In other words, we must be considerate, thoughtful, polite, courteous, and civil to one another. If we want people to respect us, we must respect them in return. An example of “Give Respect, Get Respect” might be to be kind to others who are different than you.
Own Your Actions
When students own their actions, they act in a responsible manner. Owning your actions means doing what is right, even when no one is looking. It means acknowledging when you make a mistake and accepting responsibility for the consequences. An example of “Own Your Actions” in the classroom might be using class time wisely and completing all assignments by the due date.
