Letter to community regarding new cell phone expectation at WPS.
CELL PHONE EXPECTATIONS DURING SCHOOL HOURS:
CELL PHONES IN THE CLASSROOM:
Cell phones must be turned in at the beginning of each class.
Cell phones will be returned at the end of each class.
CELL PHONE USE IN COMMON AREAS
Cell phones may be checked during passing periods.
Cell phones may be used during lunch.
Tuesday, March 22, HS students will be testing in the morning. Freshmen will take MAP, sophomores PreAct, and juniors ACT. Please make sure everyone is well rested! Juniors need to be at school by 7:45 to eat breakfast and be ready to test by 8:00! Juniors will also be dismissed from school when the ACT is done! Freshman and sophomore’s will finish their day at school. Thank you!
Morning star counseling will be hosting a community focus group on March 23rd at LPTC community library from 5:30-7:00pm. Please check the flier!

A reminder for parents/guardians of students in the 6th grade interested in applying for the Academy for the 2022-2023 school year: There is an information night tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the current 7th grade Academy room. Applications will be available tonight. Otherwise, you can pick up applications at the Front office or from a 6th grade teacher beginning tomorrow, March 2.

Next week WPS will be celebrating Read Across America week Feb 28 - March 4 by having a Dr. Seuss week!
Monday - Wear green (Green Eggs and Ham)
Tuesday - hat day, or dress like your favorite Dr Seuss character

HS girls state wrestling starts at 12:30pm- won’t know exactly when they will wrestle.
HS boys basketball at GACC (West Point) jv 6pm followed by varsity.
Today at 2:30pm will be the girls wrestling state blessing and send off in the game gym. They will be leaving the school to head down to Omaha at around 3:15pm. So pack the highway and show your support for our 3 girls state qualifiers Avani, Hunz, and Precious!!! #bagopride
